Research@Zee: B2B strategies beyond OTT

Competitive Analysis | Benchmarking | Heuristics Evaluation | Secondary Research | Foundational Research

Overview

Let's take you through the glimpse of a few tasks I did under the Business-to-Business initiatives of ZEE. Due to the NDA signed with the organization it won't be possible to share more details on a public forum but I'll be more than happy to discuss these tasks in detail over a call or a coffee. The projects range from some marketplace, collaborative initiatives and also the customer in business with ZEE.

Task 1

Content Syndication Competitive Analysis

Content syndication is the process of republishing your own content on other forums or markets. To draw parallels in entertainment industry, content syndication is selling our existing content in other markets. For example: Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya is a popular show in India. The process of selling the same show by dubbing in other languages or by adding subtitles and selling in the markets where it  dosen't have presence is called Content syndication.

Alibo is such content syndication project in making (not fully functional yet). To access the landscape and understanding competitors to layout and streamline the product strategy.

This project is under non-disclosure agreement with ZEE5, hence further details are restricted to be published on public domain. But we can still discuss the process and progress one-on-one. So, let's get in touch!

Task 2

Heuristic Evaluation of Ads Gen AI product

For a B2B endeavour for the advertising ease and consistency developed a Generative AI product to create Ad creatives with capabilities to work on prompted campaign and product description. To roll it out to other business owners we did a internal heuristics to understand usability concerns and flaws based on the heuristics principle.

This project is under non-disclosure agreement with ZEE5, hence further details are restricted to be published on public domain. But we can still discuss the process and progress one-on-one. So, let's get in touch!

Task 3

Mental model around Add-on 'channels' feature

The global team wanted to understand the motivations and barriers to subscription of ‘Add-on’ on Zee5. Zee5 Add-ons were launched to cross sell other OTTs to the existing Zee5 subscribers (only in US) and intents to solve for the user need of easy access to wider variety of content on the same platform. The primary question that this research would answer is what leads the user to buy or not buy add-ons.

This project is under non-disclosure agreement with ZEE5, hence further details are restricted to be published on public domain. But we can still discuss the process and progress one-on-one. So, let's get in touch!
